Holidays & Vacations
The Child Development Lab (CDL) does follow the university calendar. If the university closes, the CDL will be closed. This includes holidays and any emergency closures due to weather. The CDL does charge for NIU recognized holidays which include, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and following Friday, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, and Independence Day.
Refunds will not be made for missed days due to illness, vacations, or weather related closures. It is expected that fees will be paid whether or not the child is in attendance. CDL fees are enrollment fees, not attendance fees.
