Home-Program Communications

Each child is assigned a primary caregiver. This student is responsible for exchanging relevant information with the parent, either in person or through written communications.

For a child to have a meaningful experience at the CDL, it is essential that parents and teachers share ideas, observations, and questions. Parents should keep the primary caregiver, head teacher, and/or director informed on any events at home that may affect the child's feelings or behavior; the parent will be informed of happenings at school too.

A scrapbook is maintained on each child, sharing stories of the child, photographs, and samples of art your child does while at the CDL. This scrapbook stays with the child throughout the CDL experience and is given to the family when the child leaves the program.
