Many holidays are not within the young child's realm of understanding; therefore, the CDL does not plan holiday activities for the children. However, we will answer all questions the children raise at a level we feel appropriate, and allow children to talk about their holiday parties and celebrations.
Children may share simple birthday celebrations with their friends in the CDL. Special store bought treats, or even better- a nutritious snack may be planned for snack time. Discuss such plans with the head teacher at least 2 weeks ahead of time.
