The School of Family, Consumer, and Nutrition Sciences and the Department of Teaching and Learning offer a collaborative program leading to the B.S. degree with a major in early childhood studies.
The B.S. Degree in Family & Child Studies offers emphases of Family and Individual Development, Family Social Services, and Child Development. The school also offers a minor in Family & Child Studies.
Students in the B.S. Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, and Hospitality Administration major study all aspects of nutrition, foods, and hospitality. Two emphases are offered: hospitality administration and nutrition and dietetics. A minor in NDHA also is offered.
The School of Family, Consumer and Nutrition Sciences offers an undergraduate program with a major in textiles, apparel and merchandising leading to a Bachelor of Science degree. The school also offers a minor in Textiles, Apparel and Merchandising.
The School of Family, Consumer, and Nutrition Sciences offers a program that prepares students to become certified teachers of Family and Consumer Sciences in the State of Illinois. This initial certification is for teaching grades 6-12.
